Flymya.com, a local fare-compare website, has expanded its products and services in a bid to boost online traffic to its website.
The website launched in June this year.
The new features featured on flymya.com include all-inclusive tour packages for day-trips to popular destinations such as Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan and Shan State’s Heho region.
It also offers car rental services in Mandalay, Yangon and Naypyitaw.
The website’s founder Mike Than Tun Win claimed the driving force behind flymya’s concept is “to make travelling in Myanmar a breeze”.
“Myanmar has become a must-see destination for travellers across the world. A large part of its appeal is that it offers a genuinely authentic experience, both culturally and geographically.
“For many years, however, the logistics of travelling in Myanmar have been complicated and cumbersome – particularly for first time visitors,” he said.
The introduction of flymya’s services allows flight bookings, tours and car rentals to be purchased online with a credit card.
The company said the tourists now will not require to wait until they arrive in Myanmar to make domestic travel arrangements by visiting a local tour operator.
“Travellers of the past lost valuable time that could have been better spent enjoying the wonders the country has to offer,” Mike Than Tun Win said.
The website now also offers free advice on vaccinations and visa requirements. It also claims to have a 24-hour customer service team that speaks both English and Myanmar.
